The commercial courtyards at Zossener Straße 55 to 58 were built between 1905 and 1911. Until 1932, all kinds of soaps and cosmetics were produced in the largest part of the reinforced concrete ensemble. Another part belonged to the Elite Automobile Factory, which tried to establish a Berlin-based line here. After the war, the artist commune Fabrikneu brought fresh wind and new ideas to the courtyards. Legends of pop culture such as David Bowie, Iggy Pop, and Tangerine Dream made appearances here. Creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and fresh thinking still fill the factory to this day – as evidenced by the diverse mix of industries represented by our tenants.

The Property

Where fragrant soaps were once produced, now creatives, consultants, and artisans are based: In 1905, the soap manufacturer Rudolf Herrmann first built a commercial building in Berlin-Kreuzberg. In 1911, the trading company Hentschel & Co. joined with their company representation on the property.

Today, in the GSG courtyard near the popular Bergmannstrasse, printers, lawyers, architects, visual artists, designers, and photographers have settled.

The four- to five-story, classic reinforced concrete building contains 100 commercial units suitable as offices, business premises, and production areas. Depending on requirements, spaces between 50 and 500 square meters can be rented.
