The property
For connoisseurs of industrial architecture, this listed commercial courtyard with its five-story factory façade in the northeastern part of Berlin-Charlottenburg is a sight to behold.
Where the OSRAM company once produced its world-famous light bulbs, young and innovative companies are still located today. In 1898/1899, the red brick building in Berlin-Charlottenburg, between the Spree river and the Landwehr canal, was initially built as a light bulb factory by Siemens & Halske. In 1919, the light bulb company Auer-Gesellschaft, which had patented the OSRAM brand in 1906, merged with AEG and Siemens & Halske – and eventually became the OSRAM company with its headquarters there.
