The Zermelo-Höfe are named after the mathematician Ernst Zermelo, who attended school here. Until its destruction in 1945, the Luisenstädtisches Gymnasium was located on the majority of the current courtyard area. Only an old building of the neighboring company Elsnerdruck remained on the property. In 1989, the listed old building was lovingly restored, and a three-story new building was constructed on the former site of the gymnasium. Both buildings together now form the Zermelo-Höfe. The combination of modern and historical elements is what makes the courtyards so appealing.

LOCATION

The Property

Once, the master printer Otto Elsner had his factory building erected here in Berlin-Kreuzberg between 1912 and 1914. Today, the classic old building is listed as a historic monument and belongs to GSG. In 1989, the entire site was renovated and expanded with a three-story new building.

Overall, the courtyard offers commercial spaces from 300 to 700 square meters, which can be used as offices or for production, as well as smaller units starting at 50 square meters as studios.
