Oranienstraße was named after the Dutch House of Orange in 1849. The name derives from the Orange - and this in turn is the namesake of today's Orangen-Höfe. From the beginning, numerous small businesses dominated the courtyards. The record was held in 1943, when a total of 49 businesses were registered in the building complex, which was built in 1890. Even today, the listed brick buildings in the courtyard house a colorful mix of industries. At the same time, the lovingly restored ensemble is a prime example of the typical Kreuzberg mixture of living and working.



The Property

A bright brick building located in the rear of the property, right in the heart of lively Berlin-Kreuzberg – just a stone’s throw away from Heinrichplatz. The building was constructed in 1890 and is now part of a protected ensemble of buildings.
