In 1847, the newly laid-out street at Kottbusser Tor was named after Prince Adalbert of Prussia, Inspector General of the Prussian Navy. Only a few years later, the oldest part of the current Adalbert-Höfe was built. Today, the bright clinker facades and generous window bands are characteristic of the buildings. From 1987 to 1992, several properties were merged, the historic commercial courtyards were extensively renovated, and five-story new buildings were added. This created a multifunctional ensemble that is almost archetypal for Kreuzberg. Today, workshops, offices, and studios can be found on around 6,400 square meters of rental space.



The Property

The bright brick building was built in 1859/1906 by architect Wilhelm Hellwig. After being extensively renovated in 1992, it was complemented by five-story buildings.
